The only way to fill oneself is first to empty. I think of Kaiser Permanente's motto-First find a hole and fill it. It sure seemed to work for them (at least many years ago when I was a teenager). At the mundane level I fill in many ways--much the same ways as I empty (see my answer to Orpheus Rising's "How do you empty?"), though this recognition of filling is minutes, seconds, or even hours or days after the moment(s) of emptying and is related to remembering the wonder of emptiness. At a level of higher consciousness (dare I claim this state...ever?), I am flushed with a feeling of communion in the Now with the purity of Nature (animals, plants & trees & rocks & waterways, weather, vistas, etc), the innocence and freedom of children, the proffered momentary trust of strangers returning a smile when I look into their eyes, the wonder of love and compassion in the world; all of these moments of "filling" come from a place beyond understanding and expression. They are the "communions" of life, these fillings that surge up unexpectedly with such power. This "filling" I call Love from the Source. I am Sirius

I do some form of prayer and meditation each and every morning...whether it be from an inspirational reading, or a thought for the day....
I ask for the strength and guidance of the goddess, knowing if i am doing the will of the divine, i am in balance.....
i think of past dilemmas that have turned out to be my greatest blessings, and in that i have faith to go on for another day....helping those i can and blessing those i cant.
