SASR, 22SAS, MARSOC, SEAL, SF and SFODD... they're all different groups serving different purposes, with their own unique training, even if they do occasionally cross train.
I don't accept that answer that either force is better than the others, or that they're even "about the same". This looks more you're trying to provoke the abundant American population on Yahoo.

No they don't evaluate. Why? because they are diverse tier degrees. The particular Forces community contained in the U. S. protection force is lots more suitable than you imagine. the bottom tier over a universal unit which includes the 82nd Airborne branch or 1st Marine branch must be the seventy fifth Ranger Regiment, Marine pressure Recon, and so on. next must be absolutely military particular pressure, that are each and each and every of the 18 series MOS's. After that, you'll have CAG, it extremely is 1st SFOD-D or extra oftentimes than no longer elementary as Delta pressure. Delta pressure is u . s .'s elite counter-terrorist pressure and they are modeled after the SAS from their mission set to their unit organization. CAG is between the elite counter-terrorism contraptions (alongside with each and everything else they do) contained in the international, and are proper on par with the SAS. Is both one among them extra positive? no one ought to inform you that because no one right that is both one among them, and in the journey that they were, they doesn't recognize a lot about the different unit. i have had the prospect to paintings with each and each and every of them on some missions in Iraq, and they are proper high quality. yet evaluating SAS to large Forces is alongside the lines of evaluating apples to oranges. yet evaluating them to different proper tier contraptions which includes CAG ... they are all extremely freakin' good and also you won't be able to get a lot of a extra positive answer than that.

How much better are apples than chicken soup? SAS and US SF units have different missions and different doctrines. The two can't really be compared in a heads up type of way.

They are not more effective. They are given more go signals and so they can do the same mission as any of the above.

I would say the Navy Seals or Delta Force are just as good or better than SAS.

You received 4 answers and I see 4 thumbs down. You are looking for agreement, not an honest answer. The simple fact Is that they are about equal and any suggestion that they're some order of magnitude better is simply absurd.
The fact is that if the British were even twice as good at warfare as the American soldier in general, perhaps they wouldn't have needed the United States to help them in the last 2 world wars.
