first of all thanks for your service. i am not a vet, but my father is. A few years ago i had his name added to a Wall of honor in my hometown. So on vets day i wake up early to pick him up. we got to the wall to look at names and he tells me some stories about his time in Vietnam. than we go for breakfast. I always have a gift for him, which i give him after we eat. than we go to a movie and than hang out for the rest of the day! oh and we go to my grandpas grave (he served in WW2 with the Army Air Corps) and place a wreath and a flag.

I'm attending the parade here in Las Vegas. After the parade I'll walk up to the local VFW post and scarf down some free lunch.
I've been asked to be in the parade in the past. The chief reason might be that I can still fit into my uniform after all these years on the retired list. LOL!
BTW, it will take the history books to really lay out what a fine job you guys did down-range in Iraq. I salute every one of you!

Some of us get asked to be in local parades/ceremonies, (National Guard, OIF 3, '04-05) most just go to the hardware store and fix the house with sell prices.

I'll be conducting a mounted combat patrol. But I'll think of all you other veterans, past and present, and silently thank you for your service.
And maybe the DFAC will be serving shrimp cocktail. ; )

Do the same thing I do every other Monday.
Get up, do the usual daily stuff, then go to bed.
