You can buy rock salts at any grocery store or even drug stores. Such as Walmart, Ralphs, Albertsons, Walgreens, Sav-On..etc.(*note: I live in Southern California, and you might not have these stores in your area) If you want to make sure that a store has it before going there, you can call them or go on their website to make sure. Also, I bet there are a lot of information on where to buy rock salt in your area on the internet.
Hope this helped! Happy shopping! :]

A good place to buy rock salt is from http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?index=grocery&tag=asin1-20&keywords=rock+salt
You can normally find rock salt in grocery stores but if you want to buy them in bulk over 1 pound to save yourself some money, get them online. You have a much more selection to pick from versus buying them in stores. They even have 4 pounds of ice cream salt which should be the type of salt you are looking to buy. Salt are normally pretty cheap compared to sugar.

Walmart would have it....Look in the spices section. You might find it in the clearance section too because of it being the winter. they are getting rid of all the summer stuff now.
