Yes, there is a reason why He wouldn't 'come out', like you say. It is because He told us what would happen, and what He is doing, and what He will do. I could show you all of that. And He isn't gone, He is here, though in the Spirit who Jesus said would be here. All this is true and explained.
Now why not now will He show you His presence? Because that's exactly what He said He would do. The one's who trust what He says are the saved. He is not interested in the people who won't believe because they cannot see.
God does not want to save everybody. He only wants some people, not all. Also He will show Himself when He said He would which is recorded in Zechariah 14. That hasn't happened yet. Read it for yourself:
1 A day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided among you.
2 I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.
3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle. 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. 5 You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.
So my point is that He told us. You just might never have considered that it was written long ago.

People don't seem to get it. "He can be seen in all of creation," what the hell does that mean? When nature is studied, we see evidence of evolution and physical laws at work, but no evidence of Jesus, God, or a Holy Spirit. And none of this "he is at work in your heart" crap, either. You don't have to believe in God to do nice things for people. What I want is for God to heal all the world's amputees and make them grow their limbs back. That's a miracle that would have no scientific explanation, that everyone in the world could see, and that would cross all language and belief barriers. Everyone from the most primitive tribesmen in remote jungle islands, to the most die-hard atheist, would have to admit that there is a God, although not necessarily the Christian God. I mean, there would still be the question of exactly which of the many thousands of gods people have worshiped could perform such a miracle, but I am sure the god in question would reveal that shortly afterwards.
But of course, that will never happen, because--according to the religious-minded--"God doesn't work that way." They never say why, though. I think they're just making stuff up.

I think we can just read some of the answers to the question to understand why we would not understand the real answer, everything from "was Mary a screamer" to "he waited 98 thousand years to show up the first time" just ask yourself some other questions. Where does space stop? Does time ever end? Can you answer those? Does that mean that space stops or doesn't just because you do not understand. Or time? Its simple, we all will know the answer one day. If you believe in Jesus and follow his ways, if you are right, you will go to heaven. if you do not believe and you are wrong, and the bible is right, you will go to hell. It is your choice. What do you give up in being a Christian that is worth the risk? I do not mean to offend anyone. I only wish to maybe help some non-believer to accept Christ as your personal Savior.

Well that is an interesting question. Assuming man has been on this planet for say 100 thousand years it took him/it approx 98 thousand just to show up once. Then he/it was around for maybe a couple of hundred years and then vanished again. So what do you suppose he/she/it is doing. Sitting and watching?
Lets all pray..... Personally, my thoughts go something like this: he destroyed the earth and all its inhabitants except for 2 or is it 7 of each thing on this planet, bar none, killed millions of innocents, cause immeasurable chaos - then Poof..GONE.. That's some very impressive work.
But know this....He loves you!

THE FATHER, whom you call as GOD, is here. HE HAS COME and HE HAS MANIFESTED HIMSELF through the SON. In the time of the GENTILES, He came through the begotten Son, Jesus Christ. In our time, there is an appointed one from the fallen Adamic race, specially chosen to be the heir of what Adam and Eve lost in the garden of Eden - the sonship and kingship or the dominion over all things.
I may sound abstract, but 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 says that "eye hath not seen, ear hath not heard, nor mind hath conceived, what God hath prepared for them that loved Him... and He only reveals HIMSELF through HIS SPIRIT."
The existence of God is completed through the Son whom He has chosen. If you are really sincere to know Him and to find who the FATHER and the SON is, you can ask Him and He will not fail you. He will lead you to the truth.

God has already came to earth in the Garden of Eden
He walked and talked in the cool of the day each day with Adam
somtimes Eve
He talked to Enoch and many more Prophets
now he has sent his son Jesus to the world and the world rejects him the Holy Ghost that will speak to us and teach us all things
you have to read his word to find him that is the only way
I know him he has manifested his life inside of me and he talks to me anytime
Jesus will come again and you will know him when he comes

He did. 2000 years in the past. He grew to become water to wine, walked on water, healed lepers, resurrected the lifeless and fed 1000's from some loaves and fishes. nonetheless maximum human beings chosen to not believe. If He confirmed Himself in the present day on the this night teach with Jay Leno, human beings might say it substitute into specific consequences. human beings believe what they elect to believe...2000 years in the past AND in the present day. as nicely, God says the justified will stay by potential of religion and not by potential of sight. people who had concept by potential of sight, lost that faith whilst the persecution got here.

In idiocracy's defense and after having read a lot of these answers, it's pretty pathetic to send a guy who looks like he just got out of jail as "God"'s image. I mean c'mon, just give us the whole "I AM GOD MORTALS" and a huge light show with the whole levitation thing, that'll do it for me. Until then I remain an Atheist.

Yes but you see Maya (Gods illusory energy) does not allow persons to see Him who don't accept Him (though He is everywhere and in the heart of every living being and every atom in the form of Super Soul) You see when one gives their heart fully to Him He reveals Himself. All is written in the Srimad Bhagavatam in a very scientific way and also in the Srimadbhagavatam. But one could read it a thousand times and not see, because God reveals Himself to the sincere humble seeker of Him. Not the One who is not grateful to all that He has given them. They will never see Him. To them God is so much everywhere that He is no where!

He did come out in the open, many times in fact. He was out in the open for 40 years with Moses and the children of Israel. He was out in the open when he manifested himself as Jesus Christ for about 33 years. All of his appearances are faithfully recorded in his holy word the Bible. We his servants who have a personal relationship with him, talk with him on a daily basis. He has spoken to me out loud . He has manifested himself to millions of people who seek him. Do you think God is going to show himself to someone standing up in pride and arrogance shaking his fist and demanding God show himself? Brother I am here to tell you that God will show himself to you if you seek him humbly , in truth and repentance. As long as you continue doubting he exists he will most likely ignore you. But make no mistake you will bow your head and bend your knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and then you will see him. It is up to you to determine the circumstances of his appearance to you. Come to Christ!
