I have pretty much the hair you described and I have a products that works quite well to help keep it straight...use 1.straightening shampoo/ conditioners
2. Redkin outshine 01. (use small ammount just before straightening
3. use high heat setting.
4. use a spray in conditioner sparingly after straightening ....I use Edward Beale deep for blondes. And then smooth over with my hands, if rainy weather....I put in a little hairspray that just brushes out.
combining all of these I usually get a great result that lasts a couple of days....and my hair has never been in better condition.

I just discovered Tresame "thermal creations" straightening gel. It works great, but I use it in a system. Try using Loreal Vive Pro shampoo for normal hair + volume (pink bottle), it adds a lot of shine and makes your hair softer and more managable. Then when you get out of the shower rub some of the Tresame gel into your palms (a little bit. a bean sized amount) and distribute it thoughout your hair. Then blow dry. I use a ceramic hairbrush b/c it adds shine and your hair responds better to what you want it to do. (Its a Conair Tourmaline Ceramic. I got it at Longs for about $10. Nothing special) Then you use your hair straightener. Your hair should already be fairly straight and shiny from the blowdryer, and the straightener will help you seal the shine and add that stick straight uniform quality. Make sure you use very small sections of hair so that the straightener is more effective. To finish if you need to rub a tiny dot of hair wax into your palms and smooth over the little hairs at your part so that they're not sticking up. And you're done. Because of all the products you used your hair should stay put, straight and shiny all day. Sounds like a lot of work but once you get into a routine it doesn't take very long at all. Good luck! Oh, and if your hair isn't too oily, only wash it every other day. Your hair will be healthier looking.

Of course it would be easier to straighten your hair when it is short. less drying time too! If your hair is longer than your arm like mine it's a pain in the neck. I suggest having someone cut your hair an inch every 2 months. it keeps your hair from being weighed down by dead ends. P.s. your hair grows 1inch every 1 month. let it grow 1 month and then go get a trim the next month. The heat does pretty severe damage to your hair, especially the ends.

i have very thick hair and i used to have the same trouble.
before you straighten your hair, use PAUL MITCHELL SKINNY SERUM. this will keep your hair from poofing back up later. if you cant get the back straight, have someone else do it since its probably just because you cant see or reach back there. sometimes when i dont have enough time to straighten it, i have someone iron it. i lay my hair out on a towel and they iron it like you would a shirt. then just fix it up with the straightener when theyre done.

Hello I have a problem similar to yours, I want to help ... Czech this:
Nowhere in the world will find something that you let your hair completely smooth but if you can do this:
You can iron your hair with iron .. You can burn, but to do this BEFORE smooth USE CREAM FOR THE HAIR especially for the kind of hair you have left ... to the effect that makes cream, and later we plates ... Otherwise serious and dryer ... You can also alaciarlo with cream comb to smooth hair! For me it works well .... Well hopefully this will serve, you digopor experience, kisses bye
