It seems ironic you're asking this question. In my experience in general, you have to take whatever people say and judge whether you think it is a good idea otherwise someone can tell you whatever they want and you'll believe it. So, answers from this site can be helpful but I wouldn't go by what ten strangers say verses one friend who knows you and the situation.
I think this site helps as a guideline if you have question and sometimes if everyone put the same answer down maybe the majority would be right instead of your friends...you may want to ask that whomever replies site their sources but then again at times the internet is not very reliable. It is easier to ask questions from complete strangers online because there is no confrontation, you're likely not a very confrontational person which isn't bad it's just part of who you are if being non confrontational means you have a hard time deciding on anything doing a little research on your own in books or online articles could help given they have generally better sources otherwise they wouldn't be published.
One last thing, make sure to think about the advice you get and if it makes sense to you, if it doesn't then that is a good sign to reconsider

People using Q&A for really serious decisions in their lives are risking a lot. Askers tend to listen to the folk to agree with them and give warm fuzzy answers. This, however, often isn't what you need to hear.
Additionally, the questions here tend to be incomplete versions of that the situation really is, and many people give answers on subjects of which they have little or no knowledge.
I would say that using Q&A for fun is great, for serious matters you really should either trust people who know you well or get professional help.

I think it's easier to ask strangers anonymously because there is basically no risk that it will hurt you later. Your friends are people whose opinion of you you really care about, and I can see how you would be worried about what they think of you. I experience something similar with stage fright -- sometimes I'm more comfortable performing for a roomful of strangers than a small group of friends.

I would ask on here. What do you have to lose? I wouldnt say my answers have always been what I am looking for. Sometimes there are a lot of young people on here in different stages of their lives answering the questions, but sometimes you get answers in your age group. Ask away. See if it works for you. Sometimes its just better to remain anonymous.

Absolutely not strange at all because bias is real and it definitely affects the response you get out of people you love and trust the most. That's the good thing about something like this -- lack of bias.

i'm sorry to hearken to it, guy. i have were given a pair options for you... Are you actually practise in Karate? If no longer, i imagine it really is an somewhat good theory. no longer purely is it relaxing, notwithstanding it is also very sensible, noticeably for unlucky situations like those. even if you do not intend on taking practise contained in the longer time period or on a established foundation, there are certain strikes that you'll be able to study in an hour or 2 that ought to help you to achieve administration of a topic (wrist press, pressure factors, and so on.) And such issues are really elementary to study and keep on with. that is very elementary to reveal someone over and lead them to beg for mercy. on the different hand, your relationship inclusive of your spouse is totally no longer a healthful one. you should *no longer* ought to motel to self-protection and/or violence. you should *no longer* ought to detain your spouse. it really is totally no longer good on your daughter to witness this both. I comprehend thoroughly the position you're coming from about no longer desirous to inform all and sundry out of embarrassment. i doesn't favor to both, notwithstanding the way I see it, you've quite a few concepts: A) flow to the police. B) flow to marriage counseling. C) smash up. There are professionals and cons to each and each and every, and finally, the determination is yours. If I were on your challenge, i ought to smash up. one way or the different I doubt that you'll lose 1/2 of each and everything, noticeably if it comes out in courtroom that you suffered relatives abuse. i imagine you'll have the better hand, noticeably contained in the custody of your daughter. in spite of what you eventually settle on, I propose that you confer with an lawyer. bear in options, you're not in any respect helpless. there is continuously a fashion out. you'll ought to start up over with some issues and connect others, and also you'll basically ought to paintings that a lot extra sturdy. Be a guy and do in spite of it takes to get to the bottom of your challenge. keep the religion.

its not strange because online anonymously isnt awkward, and youll never see those people. but if you ask your friends, they may just tell you what you want to hear, or make fun of you, or tell a bunch of people you know. so go ahead, ask away!!!
