I am planning on attending APSU (Austin Peay State University) in Tennessee, and I think i may have college paid for but i need to make sure. OK, I know i will be getting the Hope scholarship (Lottery scholarship), their Presidential Scholarship, and a Sonic Drive-In Scholarship. That adds up to 10,000 dollars, but after adding up everything, I still need about 3,000 dollars. What other scholarships should i apply for? My mother and father are on disability, so do they give any grants? Thank you and please be professional about this please and if you are from Tennessee that would help me as well thanks again.

I have a few ideas on locating extra funding for your college tuition. Unfortunately, the dependent money they get for you from Social Security ends at high school graduation. These sources are free to utilize.

An idea might to be apply for the FAFSA. It could qualify you for the Pell Grant along with the work study program since your parents are on disability. It utilizes a percentage formula of income and savings along with the family size to deterimine your fincial need. This needs to be applied for each academic year until you graduate from college.

Second, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Third, if you are currently attending high school, you can locate local scholarships in the guidance office. These are the easiest to get compared to national ones.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. You enter a profile, and it will search for college scholarships matching your profile. There is a scholarship for almost anything out there.

Good luck!
