I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Just exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Don't eat after 6:00 pm. Drink plenty of water (64oz a day) and get plenty of sleep (8-10 hrs). If you like to dance either join a salsa or hip hop class. These two dances burn a lot of calories and you have lots of fun learning new steps for parties. Some classes you don't need a partner. You are young and if you just stay active you will lose the weight the natural way. Also, it is always better when you have a group of friends or a friend to exercise or go to dance classes with, I think because you can act silly and laugh (laughter burns calories also). Just have fun, you look okay to me as you are. Good luck

The best way to lose weight at your age is to play a sport or exercise every day. Also, now's the time to start really learning to eat healthily. You don't have to give up the stuff you like; just eat smaller amounts of everything, and stop eating when you're full -- don't stuff yourself. Don't be afraid to have a little snack between meals, like an apple or a couple of crackers with cheese. Don't let yourself get horribly hungry, or you're more likely to binge when you have your meals.
Remember that you're still growing, and that at your age a little excess fat is probably healthier than being incredibly thin -- your body needs energy reserves to draw on, so don't lose too much weight -- your doctor will tell you how much is healthy.
Good luck!

I had a similar problem- I am 12 and 5 ft, and like 116 lbs. I am also trying to lose weight. What I find helpful is to have water and an apple after school, or like a 100 calorie pack. Plus, when I get tired of doing homework, I take a break and walk around the block a few times. I have tried not eating. Not only does it hurt, you are tired and very grumpy. Good luck!

Exercise! Not only will you probably lose weight, but it's beneficial to your health. Whatever you do, please don't starve yourself. A relatively healthy diet and excerise is your best option. I've got a friend who eats all crap foods (fast food, junk snacks, etc.) all the time, probably has McDonald's 3 or 4 times a week, etc. and he is still thin like a twig because he gets a lot of exercise. He plays volleyball, basketball once or twice a week and golfs almost everyday, so even though his diet is crap, he's still very thin. That just goes to show how big an impact exercise can have.

You may want to focus on your health more so than your weight. You need to know that sugar, junk food, and fast food are not your friends when it come to being fit or healthy(being fit means you will be at your ideal weight). Too much of these thing will lead to a very unhealthy you.
Balance is the key to life; eating only convenient and processed food often containing growth hormones, preservatives, additives and seasons like MSG (see http://stayinformed.info/about/aboutmsg.htm why you should stay away from wheat (gluten), MSG and other foods that causes obesity and hypertension) may lead to weight gain, obesity, diabetes, hypertension and other diseases.
Here are a few suggestions to becoming lean and fit:
Substitute your sugar drinks such as sodas and juices for water, organic decaf green or ginger tea. Drink 30 minutes before or after each meal (see http://stayinformed.info/health/healthideas/suggareffects76.htm ). Also visit http://www.stayinformed.info/health/weightcontrol.htm

you don't look fat but if you want to get rid of a few it's really simple. run/ jog each day and eat healthy!! if you eat healthy along with maybe cuttin back just a bit you will see results. but give it time. losing weight doesn't work over night or in a week for that matter. also eat slower during your meals. if you eat too fast you don't realize how full you actually are. remember, cardio workout = weight lose! good luck!

you're too young to start major dieting and you probably still have some baby fat. Just cut out processed sugars from your diet and try to limit your carb intake. If you drink sodas or juices, stop and only drink water. You'll find that you'll lose a lot just by cutting out those calories. Also remember that you've still got some growing to do so don't do anything that might hurt that. Just be smart about what you eat and you'll be a happier adult.
