If I was ever confronted with any proof of the existence of any God or gods, I might.
So far, it hasn't been a problem.

I have no belief. There is no struggle to hold on to that belief because I have no belief of god. I do not know if it's the same "faith". But I don't think it is "faith" in no belief. I just don't have a belief in god. It makes no sense to me what so ever to have a belief in god.

I do believe in God, BUT...I think there's a difference between faith, and a conviction. People who don't believe in God, have convictions. They base them on fact and logic and things that are tangible. Religious beliefs are faith based, and don't require proof.
So...I think Atheism is not something people struggle with. They believe it's true because they have enough facts to prove to themselves that they're correct. A conviction isn't the same thing as a belief. A belief doesn't require proof.

I personally don't believe in your god. I don't agree with many of the rhetoric I hear and personally have known throughout my life many christians and most of them were the most morally corrupt and ill minded people I've met. As for the religion I have witness too many atrocities through history that have christianity labeled all over it. It was the actions of the people practicing christianity that really turned my stomach. I try not to have biases, but I have relatives who are Native Americans, whos' culture was systematically wiped out by religious zealots who were seeking glory from their god-christian god. Now I find far more acceptance from pagans than I ever have from christians. Also there are far too many contradictions in your sacred book, and if you would like me to point them out I can, just ask. I also chose to read many religious sources and not just the bible. I don't like most because either the message is unclear, or I don't like what the message is conveying. Give me a good solid reason to believe your religion is nothing more than a political tool used by the powerful to control the powerless, and I might lend an ear- thanks for asking!

Yes my atheist faith is tested daily by unending miracles and continuous revelations from your god himself. Yesterday your god actually poked his head through the clouds just to say peekaboo. Nobody ever said faith is easy. The other day a buddy of mine regrew an amputated limb.

No. Your faith originates from a collection of middle eastern writings from different times gathered into a volume.
The atheists wait for scientific verification before they can denote something as being true or real.
Atheism does not require faith - only proof.

No, no struggle at all. :) In fact, the older I get, atheism makes more and more sense.
I do not exercise any faith in my claim that I do not believe any god or gods exist (not just god with a capital "G".. any and all deities). You may claim it is faith; it matters very little to me how you define it.

People get to choose where they put their "faith" for the lack of a better word.
We accept that science explains the creation of the universe. We must necessarily accept this on "faith" because man created sciences and we have NO REAL proof that the "big bang" occured. Once again, as with religion, we are asked to "believe" that the universe spontaneously came into being on faith. Since man is imperfect and makes mistakes (dont EVEN try to argue this point) it follows that science is also imperfect.

I'm not even stating my beliefs on this except to say that I'm Wiccan- any deeper knowledge is irrelevant to this question.
But stop poking fun at those who think differently (if that's what you were doing, because it certainly sounded as such.).
Very few people come up and ask you how much it takes for you to 'hold on' to your beliefs; why can't you give them the same courtesy?
Blessed be.

You make it sound as thought it's hard work not to believe, when really life is quite simple. There is no struggle to hold onto my beliefe because I am confident in it.

I believe in myself, and it is I that creates the life I live I am the master of my own destiny, religion is shear nonsense intelligent man has always known that, while history proves it to be a man mad controller by using a God to blame for his own actions and the things he cannot explain, we are spiritual beings having a human experience, but no where dose religion or God come in to play, It is man that is God but most of them walk blindly behind those that know it's all a lie but their greed for wealth and power keeps them from telling the truth.
