Hey Joseph my name is John; My personal preference is Weather Bug. This is the program that I have installed on my computer. The program automatically opens as soon as you start up your computer. If you have an always on internet connection it would automatically load as well. You can enter your zip code to get the weather for your area. Best of all your forecasts come from the National Weather Service forecast office nearest to your location. All the other desktop weather programs that are out there don't. The current temperature is displayed in your system tray at the bottom right of your screen where your clock is at. You will also receive severe weather alerts for your area, and also you will be notified if the forecast for your area has been updated. The others will notify you of severe weather but don't alert you when the forecast has been updated. If you want to take a look at the weather all you have to do is click on the the temperature in your system tray and Weather Bug will open. To download this program go to http:// www.weatherbug.com. I have tried some of the other desktop weather programs out there and have always returned to Weather Bug. If you would like any more information about this program you can email me.
