Everyone knows that cold golf balls lose distance but would warm golf balls gain distance? Would heating them in a microwave or boiling water help during cold weather?

Put them in the pocket that has your hand warmer in it. That way they'll always be warm. If you boiled or nuked them at home they would be cold by the third hole.

That's correct. Cold golf balls go shorter then warm balls.

There are a few different procucts on the market that heat the golf ball before you use it...BUT, they need to be warm while you play them. Using a microwave to heat them before you go to the course would not help performance once you get there (besides, who knows how SAFE it is to put balls in the micro).

TIP: While playing, put a hand warmer pad in your pocket with an extra golf ball...nice and toasty...but not USGA legal!
