Raw food diet. Basically you cut out as much processed food as possible and try to stick with fruits and veggies. Definitely cut out soda. I know people who have lost 20 pounds just by doing that.

I'm 5'4" and at my biggest was 145 when I decided I needed to do something. The biggest thing is even though it's hard, don't stress about your weight, because stress will store fat around your belly. Watch your portion sizes, and don't feel bad about eating. Don't over do the exercising, keep it to brisk walking 20-40 minutes a day, and maybe a few strength training moves for muscle toning.
Don't skip breakfast.
Skip dessert.
Unless you're REALLY craving dessert, have a couple bites of something sweet. Don't deny yourself.

a pound is 3500 calories NOT 2000.
clear liquor does NOT have "almost zero calories". Vodka comes in at 70 calories per 1oz shot. Plus hard liquor has more sugar.
let's not be foolish here.

Your BMI is at 24.9 - which is at the top end of the "safe" range. If you are 20 or more years old, you do not have to diet in terms of your health. If you want to be slimmer, you should set a target weight and not go beyond it; I would suggest a loss of 20 lb maximum, which would put your BMI at 21.5, well within the safe range.

Consumer Reports recently rated the Volumetrics Eating Plan as the best approach to weight-loss dieting. Simply put, for each food, calculate the caloric density by dividing the number of calories in a serving by the weight of the serving. Then you focus your attention on eating more low-density foods than high-density ones. They fill you up sooner, so your calorie intake drops, and you lose weight. You can continue the plan indefinitely (after you get to your desired weight, just add a few high density foods to maintain it), so this diet has a good chance to keep you at your desired weight once you get there. There is a book available, "The Volumetrics Eating Plan", published this year.

Two years ago I was 5'4" & weighed more than you. I used to drink a lot of sweet tea, but I quit drinking anything with sugar in it. I still drink sweet tea, but I buy the Crystal Light kind, and now I weigh 110. I think the more sugar you can cut out, the better. I drink a lot of tea & used to go through 5 pounds of sugar a week! Good luck to you>

thats normal weight for your hight but on the heavier size. That what i am 5'4" 148. I think im huge but thats another story. Eat healthy meals and eat SMALLER portions thats all its about . if you want junk food limit yourself to twice a week. Exercise go take a walk for 20 min a couple days a week. IF you change something even little to improve yourself the weight will drop some. good luck!

I am the same height and 7used to be right around the same weight, eat healthy, right around 2000 calories is a pound...search yahoo for a sight that tells your bmi, then times it by 13, that's how many calories it'll take to MAINTAIN your weight, so figure to eat less than that, and you'll lose. FYI, a BIG way to combat weight is to drink lots of water, walk a lot, and avoid SODA POP! It packs a TON of calories without you even realizing it, and also, if you drink (if you're over 21), drink mixed drinks when you go out, like vodka & OJ rather than beer, clear liquors have almost ZERO calories! GOOD LUCK!

stay away from foods with too much protein, like potatoes and red meat. No sweets at all!Eat alot of vegetables and fruit, and do cardio exercises 6 days a week 30 minutes each day. you will also need a multivitamin that will help urge your hunger and replace lost minerals. Drink only 100% juice and water. In about 6 weeks of that, you should see results!

start exersizing a little every night. no more junk food, only healthy foods, like fruits and vegatbles ONLY !! if you do that then you will shed off the pounds, there are plenty of great foods in squash, like speghetti squash with a little cheese!!! its great, you have the buy a speghetti squash, cut it in half, and stick one half face down in the microwave for 7 min. then when its done get a fork a scrap the inside and sprinkle some cheese.

I had a doctor one tell me that the best exercise was pushing away from the table. Your mother wouldn't like it because "you didn't clean your plate" but it works. Take a normal serving and leave a fourth of it on your plate. This eliminates seconds and cuts your calorie intake over one fourth. If you don't loose weight leave a third on your plate.
