Ive just started taking 20mg prozac for depression and anxiety and have noticed that my eyes are very different compared to before. They have become glazzed which i guess is normal. but are often bigger than they would normally be. Does anyone else have this? Is it just at the start of taking prozac that this occurs? and should i be worried?

Are you sure you're talking about the right thing here? Mydriasis is actually excessive dilation of the pupil due to disease or drugs. (People who receive retinopathic laser surgery have drugs introduced to cause mydriasis.)

As I'm sure you're aware, pupils normally dilate in the dark and constrict in light. Mydriatic pupil(s) will remain excessively large, even in bright environments.

Although pupils do, in fact, get larger when taking prozac (fluoxetine), at least initially, it does (I've witnessed it with my own wife) it sometimes lasts for an extended period of time, dependent on the amount of medication you take, and whether this dosage is increased.

To be frank with you, unless it really is mydriasis, I wouldn't be that concerned. If, however, you are concerned, see your GP to see if s/he agrees with your, presumably, self-diagnosis.

I've experienced this with fluoxetine. It should settle down over time, but if it's really bothering you, then I would advise you to go back and see your doctor.
