Please help me if you have ever seen this screen saver. I am finding it hard to find a specific screen saver that I saw on someone else's computer. (Not his original computer. He doesn't know.) It looks like it is one of the ones that came with the Windows 2000 its running. In the list of screen savers (under display) it is called "snow scene." The actual look is a running river with rocks and leaves in a wooded area. It then starts to slowly snow and after a while everything is covered with snow, as the river continues to flow. It looks totally real. It's the coolest screen saver I ever saw but I can NOT find it anywhere on the Internet. Have any of you ever seen this EXACT screen saver I am talking about? I use windows XP and don't have it. I also don't want to download another different snow scene but really want to find this specific one. Do you know how or where I can get it? Thank you very much for your help.

Well dude...I found it for you! (It's got to be IT, based on your description.) But before you get all excited...I was RIGHT. It comes with all sorts of strings attached. I used myself as the Guinea pig for you and downloaded it, to check it out. It changes your browser and adds a toolbar, weather checker and about 5 other things. After you manually opt out for each one and then reset your browser...you end up with a limited version with out the flowing river or the snow accumulating. An offer pops up (after a minute) asking if you want to upgrade to the deluxe version. (LOL...another sales pitch) When you go back on line you find out you have to sign up for an annual membership to get the deluxe version. It costs $29.95 so you better LOVE it or just forget about having it. There are no free lunches in this world. My instincts were correct. I just got done erasing all traces of that crap off my computer. ( I hope you appreciate what I did for you.) Write me directly for the link if (for some reason) you actually want to go through all the stuff that I just did. I know exactly what I am doing and also have the best security programs in place, which is why I tested it for you. My advice is just to forget it now. I posted all of this so that other people can learn a lesson from this as well. People that see this should also read my other comments in the second version of your question. At least the mystery is solved for you. It is sure not worth $30. and your privacy, if you ask me.
