Definitely YES, if you will stay untreated.
Hypothyroidism means the thyroid gland do not produce or secrete adequate hormone called thyroxine (T4) needed by the body .The job of the T4 is to regulate essential functions as heart rate, digestion, physical growth, and mental development. So, if T4 is not enough it will slow down the life-sustaining processes which can damage the organs and tissues of the whole body leading to life-threatening complications, with death as the ultimate end.
Hypothyroidism usually starts as a "silent" disease showing very mild symptoms. If left untreated, symptoms become severe which can cause confusion, breathing difficulties, heart problems, decreased body temperature, and DEATH.
Thus, anyone with hypothyroidism needs to see a doctor and have the diagnosis certain to start with THYROID HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY.

if it goes untreated your health will deteriorate. You will most likely gain weight, feel tired all the time, depressed. Your thyroid will slowly fail. Go to the DR. and get some Synthroid. You will have to take it the rest of your life. 1 little pill each day helped me. Weight came off slowly and I feel normal again
