1. Increased traffic
2. Increased auto insurance rates
3. Increased taxes
4. My son's high school is overcrowded and gang-infested. (I attended that same school and it didn't used to be that way.)
5. Increased rents due to overcrowding.
6. Less Emergency Rooms, in part because of illegal aliens who have not paid their bills.
7. The daily indignity of being forced to pay more in taxes so that the poor from other countries can put their children in our schools and use our emergency rooms and welfare systems.

I could go on but I'll spare you my sob story.

Are all these problems entirely due to illegal aliens? No. But since they shouldn't be here anyway, getting rid of them would alleviate a lot of this.

Let's look at the consequences of illegal immigration. We have millions of illegals in this country. I was watching Hannity and Colmes the other night. They reported that the cost of health for the illegals is in the millions in CA. Guess who has to pay for the health coverage. The tax payers. It's not right. I can't even go into Walmart and ask a question to a rep that speaks english because they aren't there. Are they illegal? I don't know, but damn it speak english. Education standards have been reduced enormously due to illegal immigration. The uber- liberals want me to be sensitive to there needs because the are illegal. I say **** that crap. Send every last one of the illegals back acroos the border. If they want in this country then they can apply for a work visa like everyone else has to do. While they're at it maybe they can learn english at the same time.

I live in San Jose. When I was born, SJ was barely out of it's "sleepy cow town" phase, today, it is a cosmopolitan city. Immigration has a lot to do with that. Not just from other countries, but from all over the America. The region has been a magnet for high-tech, starting with semi-conductors and electronics in the 50s, to computers, then software and biotech. People have come here from all over America and the World, making it a very vibrant area culturally and economically.

Illegal immigration is rather the underbelly of that phenomenon. While legal immigrants bring that sort of vibrant diversity and economic growth, illegals, unskilled and mostly from the same region, do just the opposite, they form diversity-stiffling enclaves and drag down wages and educational standards.

It's a startling contrast, really, the difference between legals and illegals.

The main way it affects my life is thru taxes. Welfare,(which includes but is not limited to food stamps, AFDC, WIC, rent and utility assistance) low cost housing, medical care, college tuition, all these things and more are paid for with our tax dollars. We have a limited amount of resources and we need to use them to take care of our own people first. Would you see your child go hungry in order to feed your neighbors child? No, first you feed your child then whatever is left, if anything, can go to someone else. Your neighbor won't like this of course but that doesn't give him the right to steal from you.
I do fund raising to help the needy here in America. This year I will raise over $100,000 to be used in my city to buy food for needy families and Christmas toys and clothes for poor kids and it won't be enough. Many children won't have a Christmas this year in my city because there just isn't enough money to go around. How much should I take from our children to give to illegal immigrants? It's not that I don't love their kids too but we all have to make decisions and I have decided that mine come before someone elses.

Depends on legal or illegal. I live in a border state and illegal immigration has turned the southern half of my state into a near lawless third world country. We have a great need for a better way to enforce immigrations laws and find a better way for those who want to become citizens...obviously there is a probelm with that or so many would not be considered illegal.

There is a process and a limit on legal immigration. Done the right way it is a good thing. Illiegal is illegal! That affects everyone's life. We are paying for them to have services and privilieges that some of our citizens do not have.

Steals money from me and drives down the standard of living I can provide for my family. Ruins the public school system for my children so they don't learn. And hurts some of my friends who are legal migrant workers by cutting their wages and benefits. It also lets illegals steal the jobs my children need.

I am talking about the illegal invasion. Legal immigration has very little effect on my life.
