An 8kHz sinusoidal voltage is applied to a series RC circuit. What is the frequency of the voltage across the resistor?

It's still 8kHz. the frequency doens't change. the phase and the amplitude change, but not the frequency.

Since you are dealing with a linear circuit -- the frequency in the same.
