It's one of those damned if you do and damned if you dont things. She had her beliefs and what can we say now. NOTHING. Sure blood would of helped her. Nothing would change her beliefs but there is a toss of the coin. Heads you win , tales you lose factor. I hate that, that young woman died but she died under her own conviction. We can sit back and say she was wrong but we cant convict her on her beliefs. Everyone has the right to choose and she did just what she believed in. We cant criticize another one on how to believe.

Strange, really ... JWs will accept organs, but not blood; yet organs will have blood in them.
It all comes from their rejecting Jesus as God. As they do, then they are blinded by the god of this world -- satan -- and think they can earn their way to everlasting life (not heaven, for according to them only 144,000 can enter heaven, ignoring Rev. 7:9 which said there is a multitude 'which no man could number' around the throne of almighty God.
Strange, too, how they insist on works getting them into heaven, yet ignore circumcision. All this points to the fact that tey have turned their collective back on the True, Triune God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and believed the lie that salvation is through obedience and not faith in Him -- i.e. the FINISHED work of Christ on the cross.
So many JWs enter hell, deceived by their 'elders': the same holds true for Mormons, Moonies, Moslems, Roman Catholics who follow the teaching of that abomination, and every religion on earth, instead of the pure faith, the only Way into heaven.
If you're a Jehovah's Witness, (or atheist, or anything other than a Christian) reading this, then please know I don't hate you, and neither does God. Have the courage to genuinely seek Him, prayerfully reading, and dilligently striving to know Him. Pay no heed to those who threaten to disfellowship you; 'Let the dead bury their own dead', and enter into Life, offered only through Jesus Christ, the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

Its their belief do you know that she may have died anyway knowing she was going against her belief. I don't follow their faith, or any religion I try to follow in Jesus' footsteps and take everyone at face value.
They may not believe or follow the traditional religious gatherings most of us do, but they are humans trying to teach too only I think they misunderstand that part, but at least they have faith and believe in God. Some believe Jesus didn't die on the cross but went on to live with His wife, that He was married all along. It is difficult to accept what others believe and share with you sometime but if one is to learn and grow in acceptance and understanding one must allow for the others thoughts and beliefs and its ok to say you don't agree too.

It makes me so mad to hear this. The JW's are so stupid for doing stuff like this. I mean, God gave man the knowledge and know how to figure out blood transfusions....It's not like they are "eating or drinking" the blood. Non-Denominational Christian.

this question is getting real old. we trust Jehovah God with our whole soul. he knows best. even if I was not a witness, I would never take of blood. a friend had a triple bypass without blood and is doing great. many doctors are doing operation bloodless. you can keep calling us a cult, but remember a cult worships man, we worship Jehovah and he will deal with each of you. see what we are all about www.watchtower.org. by the way, we are not stupid, we trust Jehovah more then any stupid doctor who is always always making mistakes

how sad.. :(
I don't know what its like to have such a strong faith in 'anything'.. I do know that peoples faith can get them through the most turbulent times... times that people with out 'anything' to believe in or reach out too some times don't get thorough.. I have worked with suicidal people and often its their 'faith' that pulls them through the most challenging of circumstances..
I guess this is a down side of such a strong faith.. As much as i can not relate to this young woman in this situation, I admire her strength and dedication to what she believed in..
............Positive thoughts out to her children and family....

Cults always do that. They teach their follower's to commit "free will suicide" and they also teach them that their children must die also. If blood is given to their children, they (parents) have condemned them to eternal death if they should die in the process. They use "scare tactics" on the follower's.

She will be resurrected because of her strong faith. Will you?
Jesus said I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me will never die, and he that has died will yet live.
