Don't listen to your friends.
If by "nerd" you mean the traditional definition - intelligent, kinda dorky, maybe not the best looking, etc - They're really nice guys (typically, some are the exact opposite, however), and I'm sure that if you're a nice girl he'd be happy to give it a try.
Judging people solely based on their label, clique, or whatever is stupid.
Go ahead and ask him out (yourself, really makes an impression on a guy), and pay no attention to the peer pressure. What's the worst that can happen?

What makes the difference if he a so-called nerd or not? We all are nerds in one form or another. Besides it doesn't matter what your friends think, only what you think of the guy. Maybe he's not their type but is yours. Most nerds are very smart and they know how to treat people. That is with kindness and respect. Feel lucky you have found such a person.

Why do you care if he is a nerd? That just shows how shallow YOU are! Not all nerds are good boyfriends. And another thing...just because people choose not to wear Hollister/American Eagle/Abercrombie clothing means that they are a nerd? Maybe they believe the clothing looks stupid, or maybe they do not feel like spending their money on valueless items of clothing.

Who cares if he is a nerd. Don't be so superficial. If you like him, talk to him more. Usually those of us dubbed to be "nerds" do not date much mainly because everyone is just looking for someone who is hot and goodlooking. You probably should nmake the first approach, because since he is a "nerd" he may not ask you out because he is positive you will reject him. Go for it. Don't worry if he is a nerd. It is just a word people use.

Who cares what your friends say? Do you like him? Does he likes you? The end! Who cares if he's a nerd, everyone loves nerds. And just think of all the money he saves by not wearing hollishit.

Nerd? You mean like a Star Wars fan, gamer, or computer freak? Reads comic books? Or nerd as in someone that loves school?

I myself am of the former, and I'm not a mean person. I may be a real ********(to my friends of course) , but NEVER to women.

"Nerd" is a classification/insult, and why should that classification/insult affect his dating possibilities/ personality/ clothing sense.

His insult/classification does nothing except lower his self esteem and definately does not make him bad to date.

I'd say intellectual and unique is an advantage that most of the people who have to dress like everyone else and don't have common sense are awful to date - mindless, uninteresting.

I'm sorry but you sound like one of those stuck up, snobby girls to me, who cares if he's a "nerd." Most likely, he's not a nerd, he just might wear glasses and is smart. If you like him, go for it, who cares about his "social status." Nerds are the guy's who are going to make the most money one day so...(think about the world's biggest nerd, BILL GATES. he's butt ugly but is still rich)

your too sterotypical

really you shouldnt worry if hes a nerd or not.
it all matter if you like him.
and "nerds" are usly the better boyfriends anyways
there more of a kind person,
and know how to cheer people up.

and there not like the assholes.
so i personally would rather date a "nerd" then a "prep" or something.

[oh and its not wood it would]
