I have a sister who will do anything for you even at the last minute whether to a grocery store, pharmacy or take you to emergency and she'll wait there hours on end if necessary. She'll never say a word, just help you out.

Now, I have a brother who would NEVER help you in any way whether it be to do an errand, or even a few bucks. He'll laugh at your face, and then hang up. He's been like this all his life. When he wants something from you, he'll get mad, cuss, and demean you to the end of time.

I Ask why can there be differences in people of the same family? Will these bad deeds or lack of help haunt them someday?

It can be strange how two people who were brought up in the same family can be so different, but that is how life is really. Everybody has their own personality. Some people are more generous than others. Some people also care more about how others see them. Some people are just lazy. Others are just mean spirited. I wish I knew why people could be so different, but I think if we truly knew the answer to that, we would be on our way towards world peace. Just know this, Karma is a b**ch

I've never been able to understand that either, but I know it's true. I watch my own children and they are so differnt in so many ways, I sometimes question if they werent switched at birth. I dont know if people like your brother will regret his attitude later on in life, but I'll bet any amount of money that when he needs something, he has no hesitation in asking the very family he dissed. Thank goodness your sister is kind and helpful. I guess it could be classified as you cant win them all.

It seems odd that two family members would behave so differently, but genetics, environment, and inter-family relations will all contribute to how your siblings will treat you. His bad deeds will probably come back to haunt him. Not in any cosmic way, but just because if you treat people that way consistently it will make others more likely to avoid you or try to harm you.

Well people are born differently. That's what make the world such a diverse place. Ask yourself, what is your position between your sister and brother, are you as helpful as your sister or are you not much different from your brother or are you in between them ? Your brother may be acting like that probably because he really treats you as his sister, afterall as a sister you shouldn't be upset about this.

It's their personality, and yes, it will bite them in the butt one day.
