Me and my boyfriend are 13. We have only kissed 3 times and have been going out for 8 months cause we couldn't get away with it. My friend is always giving me crap about me only being on 1'st base and she is 12 and almost home. It makes me feel like I should be more daring. Am I left behind and too innocent?? She says I am.

Dear god no. You should definitley not almost be home when you're twelve, that is just weird. Twelve year olds aren't even fully developed. For 8 months, only kissing three times is a little low, but kissing is as far as you should go when you're thirteen. No worries =].

So what is the hurry? What would be the next step? Why are you more concerned about pleasing your friend rather than yourself? Remember, there is nothing wrong with being too innocent, what is the other option being too______. Virginity is yours to give or keep but once you (in general) give it away you will never be a virgin again. You are a virgin and those that are not will never be one again. I have asked my high school students what type of girl they would want to marry---a virgin or one that has been around. They select the virgin. At your age you still have a lot of guys to know what assurance do you have that once you and your bf get to home that things are not going to get messy---breakup? Let your friend do her own stuff and you simply focus on yourself. Trust me, I have seen girls in your age group having or about to have their boyfriend's baby---life changes big time.
