No, we're not trying to expel the Iraqis from their country unlike the Crusaders who wanted to remove the Muslims from Jerusalem, although many with an agenda are trying to characterize it as such.

A crusade requires us to fight in a name of a god for Iraq. Last time I checked the countries of the world that are fighting in Iraq employ soldiers, sailors, marines and airman of all faiths.

Crusaders took and kept the ground using religion as an excuse. We did it thinking we were protecting ourselves and our allies.

We wont stay as long as the crusaders. And we will leave the ground in better shape than they did.

No, it's not religiously motivated on the invaders' side (not even rhetoricaly), so it's not comparable to the Crusades.
