I haven't heard of a single thing, ever. I'm wondering if the US Navy or any of its allies have had any involvement in the war. Looking to be educated. Thanks!

At the time we launched offensive military operations against Iraq, their entire Navy was tied up and under UN embargo in Italian ports. Joint Task Force 151, which is a NATO Naval force has had some interdiction operations against vessels trying to smuggle goods and personnel into Iraq and Afghanistan. And an Australian minesweeper had to clear the approaches to Basra and Um Qasr before we could move ships and men through those sea approaches. But, no hull-to-hull engagements between war ships.

No naval engagements, but the United States Navy has carried out operations on to land, from missile strikes to air raids. Naval aircraft continue to operate over Iraq and Afghanistan, with ground units operating in both countries, as well as support units in Kuwait.

lets just say that my hubby has been in that area 3 times in the last 2 years. a lot of activity over there. no battles per say, but they are making their presence VERY known.
they also have what you call I.A. billets. long story short they ask for navy men and women to volunteer to help/replace a Marine in the war. the marines have been fighting there butt off. If there are no volunteers, they are volun-told! they are sent thru a 2 month school and off they go. i really wish they would say more about the navy's presence.

The Navy has had a huge involvement. From launching airstrikes from carriers to special operations to cargo/personnel transport to integrating Sailors into ground forces doing grunt work and everything in between.

Yes! There have been too many people gazing at their navals while issuing orders to wipe out innocent civilians
