although it is harder to learn, mandarin is spoken by a greater population than japanese.

mandarin will help you, as long as you're willing to learn and not slack off.

Mandarin, it's spoken more often. People say that it's hard, i actually find japanese jsut as hard, or even harder (maybe that's just because i'm a Mandarin first language) but I've tried learning Japanese and eventually given up. I still learn Mandarin and has been for my whole life, being a Chinese.

Hmm...I would recommend Mandarin. It's the most widely spoken language in the world.

I would choose Japanese...Madarin is one of the hardest languages to learn.

If u can learn both so much the better.both can find jobs in both both countries if u know the language.

Depends....do you live in a populated Chinese or Japanese place? Unless you do or unless you plan to, you don't really need either one.
