He proposed to me 2 nights ago.It was so romantic the way he did it!!He knows my favorite color is red so he bought me this beautiful red silk dress with rhinestones flowing all the way down to the floor. Also,he bought me these sexy black pumps to go with it.On that day he treated me to the spa(to get massages and to get my nails and hair done). We met in the limo and drove to the airport where we got into his dad private jet.We flew to new york to the empire state building. When we got to the top there was a red carpet that lead to a candle light dinner table. There was a guy who played the violin,we got up and dance and johnny is not a good slow dancer but he impressed me very well that night. After we ate dinner we had dessert. Then he told me he had a gift for me.And i thought it was just a nice bracelet.NO NO No it was a 21 karrot ring with the biggest diamond ever!! I was so shocked i didn't think i just said yes! we been together for 3 years.having cold feet cuz im 20 n in college!

Sounds like this guy really put a lot of effort into making the proposal as special as possible, which is incredibly sweet. I say talk about it with him, and maybe you can come to the conclusion to be engaged until after you finish with college. In the meanwhile, you can enjoy that special moment, and the thought that after school - you'll be together forever. Don't worry, it's not really considered cold feet unless you were having doubts about your wedding day.

The same thing kind of just happened to me (except without the jet plane and the fancy dress and the violin player and the ginormous diamond). My boyfriend proposed to me this past friday, and we're both sophomores in college. I'm still kind of in disbelief, but I'm really happy. We're waiting till after college to get married though, for various reasons. That would probably be my suggestion to you too, to wait till after you graduate and see where things have gone. The initial shock and flipping out reaction will have died down by then.

Right on, Nova Queen. If you were in college you could spell and write real sentences with accurate punctuation and spelling, too. Come back down to Earth, honey. It doesn't happen that way.

no need to have cold feet. Just be engaged for a while till you get used to the idea of being engaged and then move on to getting married.

OMG how romantic!!! you are soooo lucky. my bf isn't romantic at all. well its ok to be in college and still get married. there is nothing wrong with that. just make sure you finish college so that if anything happens to you to you'll be able to support yourself. don't ever depend on a man. be independent rather than dependent. you'll be fine. get married. good luck!!!

Why don't you stay engaged for awhile and see how things go. Or if you know you want to marry this guy, wait until you graduate college.
But only you know what is right for you.

Talk to your mom. Get yourself tested for STDs and HIV/AIDS. Take dance lessons. Get a brace for your wrist to support that rock on your finger.
Wow - "After we ate dinner we had dessert." - That's simply AMAZING - what a great guy!

i really have to wonder if this isnt your dream proposal and it didn't really happen. it sounds like the storyline of a movie.
assuming it happened, why would you have cold feet after only 2 days?
