Well I haven't, but Mythbusters did throw aerosol cans (and bullets /cartridges) into a fire.
I have however punched a hole in an aerosol paint can, that probably had solvents about as flammable as gasoline, however it was was not on fire, and was pretty much empty ( I was making sure it was empty for disposal) so that may not count.

People have done all sorts of crazy things with gasoline or compressed gases, including setting them on fire and/or shooting them with guns, but pitchforks I have not seen, but check out utube.

if you are trying to get invited to the local burn ward in your favorite hospital this is the way to do it, the sudden decompression of the can would be the closest thing to a homemade grenade as can get the stabber about to become the victim/deceased person, this would get you listed as the bone head of the year

i understand a large trick Hawkeye, run a fuse from the hollow of the gallon gas tank and with the tank interior the bbq and make certain the fuse it fairly long then lite it and run like hell?

No I have never done this ....my fav hobby is juggling flamming chainsaws.
