I have submitted this definition:
Talibaptist is a term derived from the combination of the words Taliban and Baptist. The term is used to describe Fundamentalist [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundamentalist] Christians with a political agenda. The term is not used to reference Baptist only but rather all fundamentalist right-wing Christians [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-wing_politics] that follow the teachings of far right-winged evangelical christians.

The term implies that the extreme Christian-Right has a similar goal to the Taliban in that they seek to enforce religious laws and create a theocratic state. They are often seen to be misogynistic and have an agenda to control others by passing legislation to mandate their particular brand of faith and morality upon people that do not share their religious beliefs.

Their reasons are as follows:
I have got to wonder why it is that Wikipedia is afraid to or refuses to post this reference to the term Talibaptist. I have received two responses.
1) "...no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent"
2) "...serve no purpose but to disparage their subject or some other entity."

ROFL.

I love your definition but Wikipedia isn't exactly a good resource so I wouldn't worry about what they accept.

Because they aren't associated with the Taliban. You must first define a term (lets say Southernhickians) as people seeking to enforce religious laws and create a theocratic state in the US. This means they are like the Taliban, but have their own identity. Then you can create the term Southernhick-a-Baptist to describe a Southernhickian who is Baptist.

You can't use the Talibaptist, because this would be more accurate to describe a Taliban member who is baptist.

Wikipedia is used by millions of people, which means that something like that might be taken the wrong way by the wrong crowd.

that's something you should stray from.

But yeah, i do see a lot of similarities between the fundies and the taliban. no offense to all the fundies out there, the truth hurts.
