When people generalize you based on your religious beliefs?
When you say you are a Christian, they automatically assume you are some bible-thumping, tobacco spitting, gun toting hillbilly with an AK47 pointing at Iraq.
When you say you are Muslim, they automatically assume you're buying a ticket on the next flight to kill yourself and hundreds of other people.
When you say you're Jewish, they roll their eyes and think that you're the cause of the whole problem.
Doesn't anyone see anything wrong with this?!
We're all PEOPLE.
Sigh. Sorry just had to get that off my chest.

I don't mind the tobacco spitting, weapon toting, and pointing at Iraq, but you need to stop with the christian and also watch that hill billy stuff.

Add: When you say you are an Atheist they assume you have never read the bible and therefore must not know or understand the message they are trying to convey and THAT is why you don't believe.

Yes it makes me furious! but the problem is people are narrow minded and only believe in what THEY think is right. now i'm not saying that everyone is like this but most are.

Yes you are right. I do not even say that I was baptised christian, anymore. It is enough for people to judge me, even thow I clearly state afterwards that this is hardly my real belief system

Yes, it does. However, I usually consider the source. People who make such generalizations are rather ignorant.

or that atheists worship themselves and have no morals stopping them from raping and pillaging...yes, there is plenty wrong with that type of thinking.
I must admit I don't think of a hillbilly when I think of Christians though. lol
