why does god get credit whenever something happens good and human's take the blame whenever something bad happens.

if we have free will....and thats what causes our misery, than shouldn't our free will also cause our triumphs.

either god needs to take the blame when things go in the toilet, or we need to stop giving him all the credit when things are A-OK.

"We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes." ~Gene Roddenberry

no, incorrect. i am not a god. i am fallible. my kids would also be fallible. it could be either one of our faults...or both.

FIRST OF ALL: God most definitely did not create faulty humans. He gave us free will, which yes, does leave us open to temptation, but God promises that we will never be tempted beyond what we can stand. Free will does not "cause our misery," it is the temptation of sin that does that, and the Bible says that temptation comes from Satan. He gives fat people the power to choose between eating french fries and salad, which may seem cruel at first glance, but he gave us self-control, too. Two huge parts of the Christian doctrine are that God is love, and that He has a plan for all of us.

He could have just made a big herd of cattle, but instead He gave us all the complexities of His own nature. He actually does want the best for us, but He did not want to just install some holy software that makes us all little angels. He gave us a lot of responsibility along with our free will, it's true, but he also offers His wholehearted support and never-failing love.

If you want to strike out on your own and make your own fortune, take responsibility when things go bad and understand that you threw out God's script for your life AND Satan now has much more influence in your life than God does.

Interesting. I usually experience people doing the opposite. Taking credit for themselves but blaming God for all the bad.

I do agree with your statement, either give God credit for good and quit blaming Him for all the wrong.

I see your quote by Roddenberry. So by that logic, if you raise your children well and they go wrong (of their own free will), it's your fault then?

the problem is where the carnal man believes that anything he does on his own outside of God..is good. And that your triumphs are free-standing accomplishments without God's Hand to wake you up in the first place to accomplish them.

It is impossible to remove the Creator from all things good..and it is likewise impossible to pin things resulting from our freewill on Him unless He renig'd and dealt a little justice on His Own. His role in bad things...is to not get involved like He promised...

JMO..but it appears that in your mind..you are your own god. Independant of anything or anyone unless you choose to be so...good by your own standard...and just smart enough to think that if you cant fathom it..it just must not be so.

The Bible teaches at great length about people like you...
