That is alot of walking. The health benefits are many. If you are walking at a brisk pace your heart and lungs will be woking harder to pump oxygenated blood around your body. Every time you 'push' your body like this, changes take place that improve the efficiency of the organs. Your heart and lungs will become stronger! As you get stronger the exercise will become easier. So you will have to walk faster to get out of breath. You may even start running to work to get the most out of your workout.
As well as the benefit to your heart and lungs you are also working the muscles in your body which will become more toned (firmer) and stronger and moving your joints which will help to keep them flexible.
There are lots of general health benefits to doing regular exercise such as reducing the risk of heart disease and cancer!!!! You will feel less stressed and you will loose weight if you don't increase the food intake!
Good for you. Keep it going. And give yourself a huge pat-on-the-back.

does not count if the walk is interior the morning. I frequently persist with a standard rule: pig out a breakfast, consume eggs, Baron Verulam and toast, mushies, and so on. Then have mild lunch and dinner. I continuously do a midday walk with my canines for an hour + for his or her wellbeing, then after tea i pass on a 0.5 hour walk to tire me out till now mattress. different then that I do 0.5 an hour or firming excerise to shapen me up. All in all, shop with it and don't provide up!

First of all WELL DONE! Lets be honest we don't go to bed one night weighing 10st & wake up next morning weighing 12st. Therefore do not expect to lose rapid weight loss.
Please continue to do what you are doing, because this is a great enhancement to yourself.
I exercise extremely & eat well however I still think I am fat. People will always say, "Hey you are putting on weight". However people do not say, "You have lost weight". That's life!
Get on your feet & make it happen!!!!!

I walk alot too! I walk 5 miles a day. When i don't walk i find my frame of mind is different. I become fed up.
I find it helps relieves stress after a long day at work, keeps you trim and have a healthy mind too!

its good for your heart to do a lot of exercise but its best to do other exercise too to have some variation in your life. if you can walk that far and for that long maybe you should try doing it faster and faster until you are jogging to work and back.
its good for your legs and your health in general to do this amount of exercise.
you walk alot faster than me. it would take me ages to walk that far lol
i use my bike and it only takes me 25mins to do 4 miles to work and 30 mins to do 4miles back home.

Well done. That should pretty much cover you for bone strength, cardiovascular health, and weight control. Not to mention transportation cost savings.
