Some people think if you are angry, then they can discredit your question by stating so. It is like saying that being angry means you are messed up spiritually. A lot of people who are well aware, of the injustice and abuse in this world, may appear angry, but can be some of our most spiritual, cause focused individuals. Traditionalists can act very comfortable, about the statis quo, and be without much anger, since they already have a strong position in this world.

Of course, when people have a question that they cannot answer without having to contemplate deep down that they might be wrong about something, anger is a common way of avoiding the issue.
Religion is of course probably the biggest provoker of this kind of response.

Very true.I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen
"Why are atheists so angry"
Just because we have a different point of view they seem to think we are attacking them.

They just imagine that you really do believe in their god and are somehow just "mad" at or "upset" with it.
Some of them truly seem incapable of comprehending that people honestly have different beliefs.

To quote Steven Weinberg:
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

They do that to me all the time. They keep telling me that I seem so angry. Only I'm not. I'm just sick of their idiocy.
