i hope you know you have to charge it back up by pluggin it into your ps3 with a the usb cable that came with it.

If your talking about the PS3 controller, all you have to do is plug it in to the PS3 while the PS3 is on by using the USB cord that came with the PS3 system or you can plug it into a computer's USB port by using the same cord.
If you are talking in reference about the PS3 DVD remote control, all you do is remove the back of it like any other remote control and put in 2 AA batteries.

I think you have to charge it. Put the remote's cable where you would normally put a ps2's controller in the ps2 and wait till it charges.
