if i were you i would take him to the vet to have him looked at.

I cant imagine your dog having any issues if he actually swallowed it. Initially I'd be worried about him choking on it...but once its gotten past that point...his stomach should actually be able to digest it partially and crap the rest out without any issues. I've got a 2 year old Yellow lab and he eats everything he can find, including tennis balls and I have yet to have any issues.

In the future...take the ball away from him once you see he's tearing it into pieces.

He could have an obstructed bowel. A vet will need to do some testing to verify. This could be life threatening!

To the vet to make sure there is not a blockage. It could kill your dog.

You need to get him to a vet at once. He could have a bowel obstruction and it can be fatal. Please do not wait.
