Are you breast feeding or is she on formula? I have experienced this with my kids and I later found out it can be more serious than you would think because it can lead to jaundice and possibly autism.

The pediatrician recommended Nestle Good Start and my youngest has not been constipated. My kids had constipation from the other big brands.

Newborns dont have to poop every day, especially if theyre breastfed. They grunt and turn red when they poop, even when they have the runs. THeir bodies are very small and its just they way they function.

If her stool is small pellets she's stopped up. If thats the case, give her a couple tablespoons of baby safe water, its more than enough to get things going. A tablespoon of baby applesauce can also move things along.

Otherwise just leave her be.

If its always this way and she's on formula you might need to change her to something with less iron, or with less cows milk.

Try switching her to a formula with less iron if you're not breastfeeding. At 2 months it's also ok to give her a little bit of water every couple of hours. That will hydrate her and loosen her stools a little.
