Ha ha. My wife and I just got into a dispute last week on this one. When I went to high school, I believe the standard was two spaces. Now, I just go with one space, and there are no ill consequences.

Purists (including myself) will say two -- always two -- between sentences. I think the reason this habit has lapsed is because computer fonts can now automatically justify your margins and may, thereby, change the spacing.

The rule when typing ( on a typewriter) was 2 spaces at the end of a sentence. But on computers, it seems to have sort of defaulted to one space.

there isn't anybody who has made an absolute rule for computers - like there was an old rule fro typewriters.

but if you have a really picky teacher, she might be expecting you to follow the older rules for typewriters.

nicely i'm 23 and that i positioned 2 areas on the top of a sentence and one area everywhere else. I merely ever positioned one area between sentences the place the style of characters is constrained (textual content textile messages foe occasion). i think of you're wager off stickin with what you have consistently executed because of the fact or you may desire to finally end up with a mixture of the two techniques which does no longer look profressional. good good fortune with the classes, i think of its rather good that truly older all and sundry is exhibiting us youthful united stateshow its executed and persevering with to income! you rather do set a great occasion to us! good good fortune!

When papers were typewritten, you used to put two spaces. Now, printed out from a computer, one space usually does it. When in doubt, ask your teacher/professor.
