Has anyone heard if they will be filming this, or will we have to wait until the writer strike is over?

Not going to happen. Adam and Jamie have both repeatedly stated that they will never do another episode testing "Ooga-Booga" myths.
I think this would qualify.

Too controversial for Mythbusters. They wouldn't want to alienate a large chunk of their audience.

Aproximitly never as there is no way you can test the existince of God. The best you could expect would be a show testing convtions in art.
