All religions are mythology (whether they are real or not)
Myth= sacred story
So it's just as appropriate.

There are a good number of Pagan questions in the mythology section, but I think it has more to do with that there are fewer topics addressed in there than on R&S. There's lots of Pagans here too. However, no one asks Christian or Atheist questions in Mythology and so the Pagan stuff is more obvious.

I view mythology as the lore of a certain religion. Over time, all stories change - thus folklore. But it is still a religion - none are false. The great thing about mythology is that you can study it - it is based on the stories and lore of that religion. I figure mythology questions are more based on this (lore) while religious questions are based more on worship practices/personal beliefs. Of course, if I had it my way, talk about the stories of the bible would go under mythology. Like I said, the term mythology doesn't mean not true, it just involves the stories of a particular religion.

Yes it is religion, spirituality how ever you define it. I use both, but I feel that the people over on the Mythology section are a little bit open minded. Unfortunately, there is not as big of turn over on that section.

It's probably because R&S is where a LOT of judgemental and misinformed people hang out. They would be ridiculed and singled out for their beliefs just because others think that their religion is ridiculous. I wonder if the people of those same religions realize how many of their religious "holidays" were stolen from Paganism.

We use both, actually. Though most of the questions regarding specifics of the religions end up here, while most of the questions in mythology deal directly with the lore.
A lot of people don't like R&S because of the more... shall we say, "confrontational" nature of things here.

Most of us post here in R&S. Some will post in both if only to avoid the fundamental Christians screaming evil and vile things at them.
Paganism is the name for a multitude of paths yes. Kemetic, Asatru, CR, Wiccan, Eclectic, Hellenistic. I can think of at least one person, mainly more, for every path I just listed that post in R&S

well, It's a lot of religions, for one.
And yeah, I wouldn't use the "mythology" section, just as the Christians, Jews, etc. wouldn't.
That's weird.

A lot do because they know that they will get some ridiculous answers to their question. I guess some forget that they will get those same types of answers no matter where they ask the questions.
