I have a ton of nieces and nephews, ranging from age 6 months to 6 years old, to shop for this year. What are some cool non-toy gifts to get? The problem is that we all have sooo many toys. I was thinking maybe like a grow your own flower kit, or flower press, or ... I have no idea.

Any ideas welcome.

I always liked when my kids got special books - hardback in such subjects at nature or the Presidents. It was nice to have the giver write a little note inside the book.
I still have many of those special books and my kids are teens now.
The books were special because they normally only got paperback books and they came in handy when doing research. The kids also loved looking through them, especially animal books.
