its weird how some complain that we are shoving things down their throats...noone is forcing them to come here.

Good point.
Some people seem to come simply to argue.
I'm here more to learn about "human nature" and about other relgious perspectives.

Hiya Fireball - I don't mind admitting I come here for the comedy ... occasionally I might learn something but it's the comedy that really attracts me.
Fundies do the best comedy cos it usually comes from a place of ignorance and or bigotry ... Mel Brooks said you must make fun of and laugh at the enemy that wishes to oppress you; xians sure do a lot of wishful oppressing.
Most of all, NO ONE does irony like a xian can - it's uncanny.

I like to stay in the Society & Culture section...as a result, I see the Religion & Spirituality section, too. True, no one is forcing people to come here, but no one is forcing others to get up on the soap box, either. I tend to see a lot of animosity on both sides.

I like to see how other people think. I give my opinion with hope that it will help someone. I'm generally a quiet person in public and this gives me an opportunity to open up and even learn some things about myself. I can't express myself as well as I can when I write. This is my favorite section because my favorite subject is talking about God.

I'm here because I have a spiritual interest and my intent is to answer the questions. I ignore complaints and jokes and enjoy the gems of wisdom, even if I don't agree with them.
