Or are only certain people welcome? What is acceptable here in R&S and what isn't? Do the rules apply to everyone or just those you disagree with? And why is it necessary to gang up on another user? Shouldn't differences be handled between the two original people through private email?

I would like to think that those that frequent this board would be the most humane, moral, self aware... regardless of what we believe. Instead there is mostly judgement, ridicule, a lack of respect for one another.

So, do you welcome everyone here or just your kind?

I'd like it if we could keep out the trolls, those who are hateful and intolerant, and ones who keep asking the same questions.... but the truth is, whether or not all are "welcome" here, all have a right to be here and shoot their mouths off until/unless they are reported and possibly banned by Yahoo. So if you can't stomach opposition to your ideas or a bit of rudeness now and then, it's probably not the place for you. But I say hang around a while, there are some smart people here who have good things to say -- on all sides.

My kind is human... humans make mistakes and form bad opinions sometimes, but I have no problem with letting them have their opinion, so long as they keep it to themselves and not leave E-Mails in my Inbox over my own opinion. It's happened before, it'll happen again. It's only human, after all.

The only people who prove their stupidity in this sort of forum are the ones who make a point out of intentionally insulting another without provocation. They may as well say nothing at all.

So yeah, I agree with you. You'd think at least most of the people would give an answer to a question, rather than look for opinions they don't agree with just so they can insult someone. It's juvenile and really just makes the person who's doing the insulting look stupid.

That's just a personal opinion, though... others can have their own opinions.

Yes it's here for everyone, even though some shouldn't be, it's still interesting to see how different our beliefs are, even though some have stange beliefs, it's still interesting, and hopefully over time these people will learn something, like morals, how to be humane and self aware, I would like to think that is why everyone is welcome.... to learn from one another.

I report nobody.

I've been suspended twice.

I've ticked off Christians and atheists (and probably a few others,) but I don't care about that. I figure if I'm getting violation notices without violating community guidelines, I'm having the necessary impact.

I agree with "ARIZONA" above. Everybody is welcome. I do think that we look at life through our own eyes/point of view so our opinions are slanted and often in opposition to others. What I like in this forum is that I take from it what makes sense and ignore what appears to be biased. I don't take anything personally 'cos I recognise others see things differently from me but that doesn't make them wrong nor does it make me wrong. Just different and that's okay.

I welcome everyone. But, just because I welcome everyone doesn't mean I am going to agree with them or answer their questions in a manner that suggests I agree with the tone of the question.I answer and ask questions honestly and to gain or give knowledge.Plain and simple. If sounds offensive then chances are that whoever reads my Q & A's is a way way way way to sensative person who probably lies to themselves about reality because they can't stand the actual reality.

No one is welcome but everyone can join. It's an open forum and we all take our chances, No one gets a free pass to soapbox their opinion. Everything gets challenged just as every idea should.

And if the format isn't to someone's liking they're not forced to stay.

Everyone is welcome, but they have to face, those who are critical of their spiritual ideas. We need the best of spiritual ideas, if we are going to do something, about the horrific conditions on this planet morally. Debate is good, showing the ugliness of some spiritual ideas is part of it. God wants us to struggle, to develop better spiritual ideas.

Contraversy breeds thought and advancement. I welcome all of it.

I beg people to challenge my beliefs because it causes me to actually think about why I believe the way I do and defend my cause in some sort of intelligible way. I welcome one and all....though not everyone shares my view on that particular subject......but then, what else is new?
