Granted the taste for sugary milk chocolate rules the market and it is easy to find super sweet milk chocolate bars with almonds. One could imagine that there is a law against mixing dark chocolate and almonds.

Lindt Swiss Chocolate does... They have a large variety of chocolates. Try looking for this brand at Central Market, World Market, and other European venues.

The 3 others are right, you need to look at more of the European choclate makers, Reider, Lindt, Nestle and Callebaut, here in Canada we have a specialty chocolater called Laura Secord.

They make it and it is called Almond Bark, in dark, milk and white chocolate it was my step-grandfather favorite and we always bought him a box at Xmas, it is now $10.00 a pound up here.

Look for a place that sells imorted chocolate, the one one I have ever seen from the US in a Peter Paul/Almond Joy with the coconut and it is in dark chocolate.

Hershey's makes a nugget, like their mini bars, except they're thicker with semi sweet chocolate and almonds.

I do not like milk chocolate at all.
