Just do a traditional wedding.
I don't really like themes for weddings.... Use whatever colors you like.

Hi and congratulations on your wedding!
Personally, I think you should use whatever colors YOU want at anytime! I think that brides are putting too much effort into "themes" and "seasons". When I was married, it was September and I chose pink dresses for the girl because I love pink. Now that I think of it, since I live in the Midwest, I probably should have gone with more of a "fall" color....but who cares!!
You don't need ANY theme. Just choose the colors you want and go from there with invitations, flowers, centerpieces, etc. Personally, I think the pink and orange would be really nice together, and, like you said, represent who YOU are! You can still do roses in those colors and have them as centerpieces, and on your cake, and in the bouquets! Pretty!
Good luck!

It is perfectly fine to use those colors in the winter - just use some winter elements to pull it off - use roses (always available year round in any color) add green hypernicum berries or red if you like the contrast and have your florist add evergreen sprigs in your bouquet - centerpieces could have oranges or clementines in a clear glass vase with curly willow branches and evergreen sprigs with hot pink roses. I have seen it before and its very stunning - with the berries and evergreen branches it makes it wintery - I would keep the bridesmade dresses more neutral like a gold color or black then you can add a fushia pashmina wrap when they get cold.

If you like pink and orange why not do a tropical themed wedding? It will be refreshing in December and unexpected. Orange and pink will fit right in, The flowers might be a little more expensive at that time of the year but most hothouses offer the tropical flowers like asiatic lilies and gerbera daisies all year long. It will be like walking into a vacation destination for your wedding.

Weddings don't have to have a theme beyond your color choices!
Pink & Orange sounds nice. Why not make it look fun and bright in the middle of winter - - I bet your guests would enjoy it.

Unfortunately, in December you may not have a choice. Most catering halls are decorated for Christmas just after Thanksgiving. The maroon would go nicely with that though.

Go with the prink and Orange. It's what you want. There is no rule that says you have to stick with the season your wedding is in. I have an Oriental theme at my wedding. I'm white, my fiance is black, and we're getting married in july. The colors are baby blue, white and sliver with black as an accent color.
IT's YOUR DAY!!!! do what YOU want!!! You only get one big day if you do it right hehe..

A December wedding does not automatically equal a Winter or Holiday theme. You can have any kind of theme, or none at all.
Do not feel that you *have* to do anything. There is no right or wrong. It is YOUR choice.

there is absolutely no reason you can't have any type of themed wedding you want. How about a Luau?
or no theme at all, just the wedding party and flowers and decorations that you like.
It is your day, you choose what will make it special to you.. even if that is orange and pink!
apparently you aren't alone

It's your wedding. If you want pink and orange go for it. People will remember that because you didn't go with the traditional winter theme. If you want to do something with tropical places, to create a warm feeling during the cold of winter, go for it. It is your wedding, do as you please!

You are not legally bound by month or season, the world is your oyster, plan the wedding the way you and your fiance want it, you have unlimited choices for themes and colours, life would be so boring if everyone stuck to seasonal colours.
