Isnt your gallbladder just a hollow organ which stores bile for your liver?
Why would eating any food make it hurt?
Is it infected or did you get surgery?

The site that was suggested above by jungleju....is excellent with many choices of foods. After my having a major attack, I was instructed to have no more than 20 grams of fat a day. I adhered to that for almost a year because I was on a wait list for the surgery. If you have a major attack and go to emergency , they often will go on and perform emergency surgery and remove the gallbladder. My doctor said I should have gone to the emergency room so I wouldn't have had to be on a wait list. As mentioned, it can become very dangerous, so have something done as soon as possible. The surgery went very well for me and the gallstones were almost too large to have even gotten out of the gallbladder.

If you have gallstones it won't matter what you eat, you will have pain whenever the stones move through the duct and you need to have the surgery. If you have gallbladder disease, soft white foods are you best choice until the inflammation subsides. Never eat spicy or greasy foods. As a general rule they are triggers for pain and agony.

When i was younger i had an inflamed gall bladder. They put me on a very bland diet. No spicy foods, no fried foods, no coffee or tea, no sodas, no alcohol, etc. Stay away from greasy foods in general. For me spicy sphagetti sauce and deep fried onion rings ALWAYS triggered an attack. Also, you should eat smaller meals throughout the day, instead of 2 or 3 big meals.

Gal is necessary for your bowels to to break down and absorp food, especially food containing energy of proteins. Anything which has nutritional value will thus stimulate the galbaldder. You could try anything without much energy contents or proteins, for instance cucumber, lettuce, spinache, sugar free coke, etc. Also good to some people are things like yoghurt mixed with water and some sugar.

If you're having problems with your gallbladder, you really need to see the doctor. You need to have it looked at because a gallbladder can rupture so this is really serious business.

not eating makes it all worse...go to a great organic health food store where they have organic veggies and foods....then get some "Jarro Dophillus" capsules and take at least three and chew them every night when you go to bed....this will begin to clean out all the gunk that could be causing the galbladder to act up...aslo tell them there at the store and they can look up the foods to eat and what not to eat...try it first...you can always go to a doc and have pills and surgery...but the healty way is easier, cheaper and not body invasive...

i know what you mean. i also was afraid to eat anything but i think it was because a stone was trying to pass. my doctor told me not to eat anything fatty as that would make the gall bladder spasm. i had a sonogram/ultrasound( one or the other ( 0: ) and i do have gallstones but chose to risk another attack before having surgery. this was about three weeks ago.

Try to avoid the foods that set it off.
I can't eat bread, pastry, cakes, spices etc
However I have no problems with crackers, potatoes, noodles, rice.
Ranitidine tablets can help too.
Otherwise go to docs
