Discrimination???

Question

We know that blacks are discriminated against(some times they make it up for sympathy but it does happen a lot)
We know that Mexicans are as well( even those here legally)

But how come no one ever discriminates against the Canadians or the Germans or the Swedish and many other races that also are not really from here?
They are not Americans either but they are accepted no matter what with no questions asked.
Why???

B.Kevorkian: I have not misrepresented one single fact. It is common knowledge that blacks and Mexicans are discriminated against. I don't care what you or anyone else tries telling me but I have never seen white people from Canada,Germany or any other European country discriminated against by other whites. You are confused. Well, or misrepresenting the facts. I'll be charitable and assume you just don't know what you're talking about, and try to set you straight.

OK, in order:

Blacks faced systematic discrimination in the past, first, very obviously, when they were purchased as slaves in Africa and brought to work in cotton, surgar and indigo plantations. Then, after the civil war, they faced systematic discrimination on the state level. Even after the end of that 'Jim Crow' era, there was a non-trivial amount of discrimination out there at the individual level.

Today, there are not only numerous anti-discrimination pieces of legislation in effect, there are also policies that discriminate /in favor of/ certain minorities. Even on the individual level, discrimination has been largely stamped out, with most sincerely disavowing it, and all but the least mentally stable of the few remaining racists at least keeping thier mouths shut on the subject.

Mexicans face a more immediate issue as a result of illegal immigration. The majority of illegal immigrants do come from Mexico, and the majority of them are settled in the American South West. This gives illegals in that region a recognizeable 'face' - the face of a mestizo (Mexican term for a person of mixed Native-Mexican/Spanish heritage), in fact - and, just as mestizos have long faced discrimination in Mexico, they are begining to face resurgent discrmination in America, due to thier association with illegal immigration. This is obviously undesirable, and one of the reasons it's so important to stem the tide of illegal aliens.

Germans, Poles, Irish, Italians and many other ethnicities have in the past, or, even today, faced discrimination. The level of discrimination leveled against the Irish at the height of thier immigration to America (legal immigration, even) was brutal, worse even than that faced by not-long-freed slaves in the North. Italians and Poles still face some offensive stereotyping, even today. Persons of German heritage are often slapped with blame for the Holocaust - even if they were not even born at the time, or thier family had immigrated to the US before Hitler came to power.

Finally, some illegal immigrants 'blend' more easily than others. Particularly, command of English, and an American-sounding accent allows you to casually pass as a citizen. Canadian accents and Canadian english are not that different from American, so Candadians (other than Quebecois) do have an advantage in that respect - regardless of thier arbitrary 'race.' (For instance, an english-speaking Canadian of Chinese descent would have no more trouble passing for an American citizen in San Francisco than would a blond-haired blue-eyed Candadian with a similar dialectic command of the language).

Everyone gets discriminated against in someway.

I don’t think it is right for black people to discriminate against white people due to the fact that black people were enslaved. (or any group of people, not just race! But creed and sexuality as well!)

Anyways, I dislike ALL illegal immigrants and I am not so daft to think that Mexican illegals are the only illegal immigrants here. They are, however, the majority and they are the ones putting up the most fight.

And Europeans discriminate against themselves just as much as they do to other Nation’s races.

Also, I do not discriminate against diversity or people from different races.

I discriminate against illegal immigrates and fight for the rights of citizens and legal immigrants!

Europeans, Canadians, and Mexicans are not a race. Those who assimilate stand a better chance of not being discriminated against. Those who discriminate the most are groups like the KKK, the white supremacists, and La Raza.

There is discrimination against white citizens, so how can there not be discrimination against white illegals? Think about this: There are many groups that fight for the 'rights' of hispanic illegals, and they receive government funds to assist them in their efforts. Where are the groups that fight for other races of illegals, particularly caucasians? Do you think that would even be tolerated in the US?

The largest percentage of illegal aliens in the United States today are from Mexico... Not Spain....not Peru....but from Mexico....that's why. And they are breeding like there is no tomorrow in order to take advantage of Chain Migration laws. They even have the nerve to talk smack about how they are going to take over America in this manner. Their malignant presence in this country deserves immediate action and attention from US law makers.

Also, America is not overrun with illegal Canadians, Germans, or Swedish presently, based upon USA Census Bureau statistics.

Finally, it is a convenient tactic of LULAC, Casa de Maryland, and other pro illegal organizations to try to lump the fate of black Americans with that of illegal Hispanics. Trust me, they have nothing in common... One major reason is because black Americans are citizens. Illegal Hispanics are ALL, without exception, CRIMINALS with the morals of a pirate. Black Americans should be insulted by the comparision.

It's called racism. For some reason gabachos are afraid of the Mexican culture. I think eating tacos and drinking some beer on Cinco de Mayo as a good thing. For all you gueros who are cool with that come on over and lets have a good time, but for those scared Americans I guess you'll just have to stay scared on that side of the fence.

actually no body is from here even native Americans came from Asia. Since the white is the majority in the u.s and Germans, Swedes and Canadians are white and can't be identified from white Americans. that's why they're not discriminated

they do it right and there aren't five million of them and they are accepted always if your any color just do it legally and don't go to boarder states just cause it is easy AZ and California are trying hard to deal with it but really how can they giving immigrants every thing and citizens of America going with out come now welfare is a short term deal not for life. maybe some poor people here would like benefits too Discrimination i think not just allot of angry people.
