it helps if the work out is tied to a bigger goal. That way the work out is tied to something you really want. I use a free website called Sproximo to capture and record my goals. You may want to vary the kind of work outs you are doing. You may be fatigued with the "same old same old" - if you can mix it up - invite a friend, try working out with music - pick a new work out location...

Sometimes I have to run in the morning or workout and I'm in bed thinking about how much I would rather stay in bed and just relax.

But then, I think about the reason why I am working out, what is my motivation. I think about and try to imagine myself a couple of months later, at the beach or at the pool without my shirt, all the girls checking my muscles and six-pack out, while the sorry guys are at the side with their shirts very well tucked in. That makes me jump out of bed and work out like crazy. Works everytime.

If you find yourself in the same predicament, set a goal for yourself. If you don't have a goal, then what's the point? You will tire easy and after a while will stop working out. Have a goal and keep that focused in your mind.

Don't give up!!

Hope that helped

I am having the same problem, specially when I work all day long and I have a eight year old daughter. What I started to do is, go home cook dinner, eat and then go out to run for 30min. I come back home and then clean the mess. I usually used to clean first so I was really tired by then. Is working for me and I always feel better after I am done. Good luck.

Tell yourself you will just go for a little while. Strech and do something for 5 minutes. If you still aren't feeling it at all that day, then go home. At least you tried. Most of the time, if you make the effort to go and try you will usually stay to put in a workout. Experience on this one!

Tell yourself that you only have to work out 5 minutes, usually thats enough to get you going and once you reach the 5 minute mark you feel good and are motivated to finish the workout.

What, are you into punishing yourself?

If you don't feel like working out on a particular day, take the damn day off! It's not going to kill you to enjoy a day off.

Then workout the next day - IF you feel like it. If not, take that day off too.

After you've done that for a couple of days, THEN you can start to feel guilty.

Put a song or CD on that gets you pumped. Or look at the pictures in a magazine like Shape, or Self and see what working out can do for your body.

I look at magazines with pictures of bodies that I want mine to look like. That motivates me to get up and start moving! Or I call my boyfriend. He's a fighter and an avid health guru so he can always get me moving.
