What is it that you guys really want?

Most men that I have met, confuse the hell out of me, maybe it's just the type of guys that I go for, but it seems that men don't really know what the hell they want these days. You want a woman who isn't confusing and knows what she wants, but if she comes across too aggressive and is too straight forward with you, you shy away and get turned off. Yet if she's shy and too passive, then she's considered an airhead or stuck up.

I've also discovered that my straight forward approach, usually results in a guy becoming a jerk or big-headed, because when a woman hits on a guy, he figures that she must be this way with all men and that's not cool. Either that, or he may start thinking "Yeah, I'm the sh!t, let's see how long I can string her along. You guys don't seem to want to date women who like you, but would rather keep us around as your ego boosts, while telling all your friends you have a girl wrapped around your finger, while falling for stuck up airheads. What do you guys want???

Wow it sounds like your having bad luck finding someone. Honestly what I see in when person A meets person B, they can easily be in two different points in their life. A could finally want something steady and meaningful while B could have been badly scorn by his ex and is on a "Mission" of some sorts. Of course there's the stereotypes that everyone falls in and follows, but you get that everywhere. I am a guy. and honestly when I want to know where a relationship stands I ask. No bones about it. I have been told many times that I am a very bold person. (so what? it's my personality. Take no prisoners, take no.. eh you know the rest) , but I am not a mind reader. I've been stabbed plenty of times by women. I don't know what they want unless I ask. What I would do if I were you is when starting a relationship start a little slower emotionally. Test the waters. Try to find out what they want beforehand. And again if you can't figure it out ask. It should save some headache, and you should find the man you want soon.

It could well be the type of man you attract or go for. Younger men don't know how to handle the direct approach from a woman and react in one of two ways when she does: either counter-aggressive or backs off completely. The older man, due to experience, knows how to deal with such an approach and, certainly in my case, will react positively if it comes from a younger woman!!

Reading your reaction when you take the lead, I can only advise you to tone down your approach. Males, usually the younger, more "virile" ones, feel the need to assert themselves. The direct approach from a woman counteracts this and in most cases leads to confusion in the minds of the males.

So, try and play the demure woman and let the male do the running. Either that or go for a mature man, where you shouldn't be disappointed!

What do we want? I think that's the question of the century. I know that I want someone who likes me for who I am and the beliefs and values that I've grown up with. I don't want someone who wants me to change for them. Guys are so much different than girls, it's no joke. My wife believes that I should think the way she thinks, and If I don't think that way then I'm wrong or need to change. The best advice I can give is be yourself and never change. When you're looking for a man you always seem to find the wrong one, but when you're not looking somehow one finds his way to you.

I don't know about other dudes but me, I want a girl that wants somebody to love them, but she doesnt be too clingy to show it. But she has to be hott and has to smell good and have pretty teeth. Also she can't be one of those girls that just have a real bad attitude that makes them seem bipolar or something. And definetly not one of those girls that cry un neccessarily all the time.
