Oh the irony!!!
This questions has made me giggle quite a bit!!
What's sad these days is that kids don't know what life is like before spell check and the computer. Back when I wrote papers and essays, we had to know how to spell it correctly or look up every word in a dictionary.

Has everyone become illiterate?
What is it with people's grammar these days? Is it just me, or are people just not bothered anymore about proper grammar? It really annoys me, but it seems to be more acceptable these days. Am I the only one to think this? Does it bother anyone anymore?
Additional Details
I'm Irish and we spell by the Oxford dictionary which is why some Americans may think I can't spell correctly. Different dictionaries may account for the different spelling. My grammar is fine, thanks.
Well, not really. Even the Oxford English Dictionary recognizes the use of apostrophes in contractions. Most grammarians also recognize the use of the capital letter in it's proper place -- like the beginning of a sentence.
of course thats just me. i coulda gone illiterate in the last couple of days...

1. HAS everyone gone illiterate?
2. What's with grammar these days? (apostrophes are your friend.)
3. Is it just me, or are people just not bothered anymore about proper grammar? (Capital letters ALWAYS to start a sentence, and commas prevent run-ons.)
4. It really annoys me, and it seems to be more acceptable these days... (Again, that whole capital letter thing. It annoys you it does not "get" you.)
5. Am I the only one to think this? (Capital letters at the beginning of sentences ALWAYS!!! "I" is ALWAYS capitalized when used as a pronoun.)
6. Does it bother anyone anymore? (NEVER start a sentence with "and".)
Now... if YOU are not going to be literate and write properly, SHUT UP! Do you know how stupid you look writing that rant, every bit of it, WRONG?????
Your grammar's NOT fine, you suck at it!

In fact, although better, 'has everyone become illiterate?' is wrong too. You can't become illiterate. 'Is everyone illiterate?' would be correct.
Your grammar and punctuation are not fine. You don't seem to understand the function of the apostrophe (what's, can't and I'm) or the capital letter, and you use the colloquialism 'what's with'. 'Any more' is not a single word (anymore) - check your OED.
Yes the title is delicious irony, but 'Different dictionaries is all.. And my grammar is fine thanks.' is better. It is a joke, isn't it?

I agree with your concerns, I really think that kids don't take the time or care enough to put a little effort into their grammar and spelling. However, I was slightly confused that a person who doesn't use capitalization and asks "IS everyone gone illiterate" would ask this question... The proper use would be HAS everyone gone illiterate. I think you should possibly hit the books yourself, although I agree with your point.

Nobody said anything about your spelling lady, it's your bad grammar. Capitalization, punctuation, even spacing is wrong. Just your question is wrong.
But to answer your question, yes it bothers me. I worked at a high school for seven years with an English teacher and I learned allot from her. Plus English and Literature were my best subjects in school.
I did job placement at my last job and had to read through allot of resumes, and I would discard the ones with major grammar errors. For God sakes, have somebody proofread your work.

"What's with the grammar" is at best colloquial; anymore is incorrect at all times.
More important is that you need to get a life. If someone with bad grammar applies to you for a job, don't hire her. Teach your children to speak properly, because educated people will judge them accordingly. Otherwise, live and let live.
ps- you have a little bit of a rudeness problem that's likely to hold you back more than grammar would.

It really bothers me. I think some people are just too lazy to use proper grammar and to check their spelling too. I don't bother answering their questions because I get the impression they are under 10 years of age. I also dislike the use of 'text speak' unless being used for mobile phone messages.

I really hope, for your sake, that those mistakes in grammar were on purpose. For one, the post should be has, not is.
Two, you don't capitalize appropriately (beginning of sentences, etc.).
Three, whats in the first sentence should be what's or what is. Even then the sentence doesn't really sound like, almost like bad slang.
Correct these mistakes and I'll consider giving an actual answer.

Either was no, everyone has not gone illiterate, and yes it bothers just about everyone. Thats not as bad as typing in all caps I think though.
