Don't starve yourself! It's really unhealthy. you will then regret that you starved yourself. You have to workout and eat healthier. Try to get rid of the excessive grease and fat in you diet and stick to healthy foods and eat fruits and veggies and exercise.

Consider starting an exercise and diet program that is monitored by a physical trainer or the like. If you have a local YMCA I know they have great programs designed to help you lose weight safely and efficiently. Starving yourself would work over a long period of time with risks of death, fainting, dehydration, infection, pneumonia amongst many other fatal complications. I would never recommend starving yourself as an alternative. Be weary of what you are eating, be sure to eat several small, healthy meals throughout the day as this helps increase your metabolism. I would say at least every 3 hours you should have a small meal even if it is a garden salad with light dressing. The key is to exercise and increase your metabolism for the best possible outcome. Avoid fatty foods or drinks that have calories and or sugars. No fast food, no soda, drink plenty of water and if you MUST have soda drink something not caffeinated that is diet and contains no sugar and low sodium. Sodium content is something else to look out for. Sodium makes you retain water, thus decreasing your success in losing any weight. I wish you the best of luck!

Well, one option, like you said, would just be to starve yourself, but if your goal is to lose some weight, and stay healthy at the same time, then not eating would be a very bad idea. It is also very dangerous. You could always try something like the South Beach diet, but when you really look into that, it really isn't healthy for you either. I would definitely recommend, just eating a good balance of fruits, veggies, meats, breads, and dairies, and go easy on the sweets. Exercise will also be your best friend. Running is a great way to lose a few extra pounds. I've lost weight and been able to keep it off by running. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Don't starve yourself. If you do that then your body will start storing fat and you'll lose weight very slowly. The best way is to eat less and exercise more. I'm sorry I wish I could give you some great advice that will help you lose the weight but realistically 50 pounds in 4 months will be really tough. You could try talking to a doctor maybe they would know something to help you.

I don't starve myself but I don't eat unless I am hungry. That’s where a lot of people get all that extra weight. I eat one meal per day but when I do eat then I don't pig out either. I do snack some but not on fattening foods. I eat enough to fill my hunger then I leave it at that. By the way I am 36, 5'5 and 130 lbs so for all the ones that can’t answer with respect…….I am not at all anorexic, I just watch what I eat so I don’t get all fat like most in the US are…….I lost almost 30 lbs in a year and I can keep my weight down.

Your body needs at least 1200 calories to avoid going into starvation mode and storing all calories as fat, rather than using them for energy. I propose you do the following:
Eat 1300-1500 calories/day.
Cut out sodas (diet and regular), and sweetened coffees and teas.
Eat at least 5 fruits and veggies every day, and eat as many colors as you can.
Eat whole grains.
Cut foods with ingredients that read "enriched," "high fructose," "sugar," or "hydrgenated" in the first five ingredients on food labels.
Eat low fat meats.
Drink 2-3 cups of skim milk/day.
8-12 cups of water/day.
Do cardio (a good, honest sweat, you should have to wipe it out of your eyes to avoid the burn!) for 30-60 minutes 4-6 days a week. Try a jog/run program, elliptical trainer, kick-boxing, step classes, cycling, tennis, etc.
Also add in some weights, don't worry, you won't bulk (which I was once afraid of). I REALLY started noticing the results when I did this.
You could lose about 1-2 lb. per week doing this.

well dont start thinking that depriving your body of its nuriants and vitamins will do the trick. You have to eat, period.
Fat is store sugars/energy. You eat high rich in energy foods such as carbs. For someone to put on weight, they eat more energy then they work off. so whats the solution? Increase your exercise, and decrease your energy intake.
I dont mean by extreme here. a good routine would be the morning to exercise, do some skipping, running, power walking and others. Eating more fruit but not too much, thats natural in sugars. dont add added salt or sugars to cooking or snaking and drink plenty of water.
Losing weight is about controlling your diet. Target what you eat more off and decrease by an amount and increase what your eating less of, such as fruit and veg.
You might want to talk this over will a dietitian.

You have to be careful how you lose the weight...starving urself is very detrimental to your health and once u get off ur diet the weight wont keep off...its best if you try to eat healthier but mosre importantly...get into a fitness plan...i lost about 8 pounds in two weeks just by taking up ballet once a week and doing nothing about my diet. So try to get into regular sport and try to cut down on unnecessary snacking and foods tht are processed and full of oil and sugar... plz remember tht being skinny isnt everything and most ppl actually dont like ppl to look anorexically thin...its scary!! good luck...

My best advice is to not starve yourself. Also, give yourself a little more time than that to lose that much weight. If you starve yourself for a while you will lose weight but you will probably lose muscle mass. After you start eating again, you will gain the weight back but it will probably be in the form of fat.
