it is actually AN INFECTION IN YOUR BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes you dont even know you hve it plus there are differnt subcategories, I had staph A and it was cured with intravenous antibiotics, they found it doing routine blood tests, i was feeling unwell but they didn't suspect it and neither did I, I was concerned about the abcess that turned out to be as big as a golf ball on my upper arm which was the breeding ground for the staph infection look on google that is your best bet. On your skin is not the actual staph infection. Yes it is most likely to come FROM wound and/or an infection of the skin (typically an absess) that gets infected and causes the virus (staph) to enter the bloodsteeam,(this is just an easy way for the infection to get to the bloodstream though an open wound on the skin. but it is not the actual infection, cut, etc, it is a secondary infection caused by the cut!!!! STAPH IS NOT THE ACTUAL SKIN/cut, etc THOUGH. So in reality there is actually 2 seperate issues going on. Also it is diagnosed by a blood test and under the scope they can see foreign particles floating in the blood that are NOT suppost to be there. and thats a fact.

You can get it anywhere

1. Mine started like an itchy mosquito bite, then turn into painful lumps that either go away or get huge then drain.

2. Look like lumps...if they get bad they look purple.

3. They hurt like hell.

4. It is contagious, but staph is EVERYWHERE. Door handles, counters, bathrooms. Some people for whatever reason get it in their system, some don't.

5. You can get very sick because your immune system gets weakened. I actually got alopecia (a little round bald spot on the back of my head) Plus, scarring from the staph.

I had Chronic staph for a year a half. I took Both Rifampim and Bactrim MANY times. It kept coming back. Plus my immune system was weakened. I kept getting sick. I got thrush in my mouth and strep throat three times. I had msra- they tested me for it by lancing my swollen toe. I went to a TON of Doctors, all which gave me antibiotics that did not work. I went to an infectious disease "specialist" who told me that I would always have it and sold me some $40 soap that did not work.

I finally went to a holistic practitioner. He made me a homeopathic (pro-biotic) remedy.

1. Bactestact- $17. He does have to make a staph-specific one from that bactestat base.
2. Angstrom silver. ALSO kills bacteria and cures: strep throat, yeast infections, colds, anything bacterial based.

The place is called the wellness center of plano, tx but you can probably find an herbalist close to you.

This was the ONLY THING THAT WORKED FOR ME!
It has been gone for over six months now.

Staph is usually found on the surface of the skin. So, many Staph infections are on the skin, such as infected cuts and scrapes. It can be found elsewhere though and can cause infections there as well.

We can carry it in our nose and throat where it can be dormant in the carrier but infect others.
